Over eight weeks, we want to understand whether Capacity First can help preserve what educators are already learning about children instead of allowing each moment to disappear after it happens.
how much participation is actually required?
What Does the Teacher Actually Do?
Capture. Reflect. Continue teaching.
Teachers will not be asked to complete lengthy reports or conduct additional assessments.
Throughout ordinary classroom routines, the participating educator captures brief moments around the focal child.
The system guides educators to reflect on:
What happened?
What could actually be seen or heard?
What was happening around the moment?
A transition? Play? Group time? A request? Peer interaction?
Likely contributors, Adult Moves and Child response.
Then the teacher goes back to teaching.
